Meet Yanna. Yanna is our secret rocker, a powerhouse of confidence and style. During the shoot, she completely took our breath away when she broke into moves that would make even Beyoncé proud. Her energy is contagious, and her presence reminds us all to let loose and own the moment. Yanna shows that being your authentic self is the ultimate power move.

Q: What inspired you to join this photoshoot, and how does it reflect your personal journey?

Yanna: ⁠I was invited on the premise that PBK wanted to capture real, authentic women, and they were looking for someone who was a size XL. This commitment to inclusivity and diversity really resonated with me, highlighting the importance of genuine connections among women.

Q: How do you define confidence, and how does wearing Perk by Kate make you feel empowered?

Yanna: Confidence is simply being unapologetically yourself. ⁠I think knowing that I was wearing underwear/lingerie that was designed and created with genuine love for the people it was created for, made me feel even more empowered to embrace my confidence during the shoot and just have fun!

Q: ⁠What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone hesitant about embracing their unique beauty?

Yanna:  Having struggled a lot with self-consciousness and doubt growing up, and one piece of advice that’s really helped me is that “in reality, no one really cares about how you look/act as much as you think they do because they’re too busy caring about their own selves too.” So just do what you want, be yourself, because in the end you shouldn’t let anyone else dictate that

Q: ⁠Can you share a moment when you felt most connected to your body and spirit?

Yanna: Moments when I’m alone, when I can fully be with my thoughts and reflect. These could be times when I’m going on a walk or engaging in my creative hobbies like crocheting and sketching. Having me-time reminds me to always give my body, mind, and spirit the love and care they deserve

Q: ⁠ How does being part of the Perk by Kate community impact your self-love journey?

Yanna: During the shoot, I felt surrounded by amazing women who were so loving and accepting that it eliminated any form of consciousness or doubts I had about my body. I think PBK fosters a community filled with so much positivity that has reminded me that self-love is also a collective journey that we all share together
